Things might be getting back to normal in other parts of the world, but in HK, the COVID crisis is still very much present and ongoing.
- Quarantine was just recently shortened to 3+4 (3-day quarantine in quarantine hotel + 4-day quarantine in home isolation)
- Masks are still and will continue to be a must
- Restaurants and other service establishments require check-in and approved vaccine pass via HK’s “LeaveHomeSafe” app (in other words, you basically cannot go anywhere without a smart device)
- Bars require photo proof of RAT tests taken in the last 24 hours (must include name, date and time taken)
- Photo proof of RAT tests are also required for groups of more than 8 for dine-in services
Lately, there has been 9-10k COVID cases a day. I’m not sure how those numbers compare with the rest of the world, but I can’t be bothered to check at the moment since at the end of the day, those above mentioned restrictions are still in place regardless of how other countries or cities are doing.
In light of these seemingly unchanging circumstances, I thought I’d check in with this online portfolio / workspace I have running here. I haven’t had the time (nor I suppose the inspiration) to update it, but I suppose I should really get back to it.
UPDATES:
- Tweaked with the website theme’s colour scheme
- Removed some pages from the menu to make it simpler
- Fixed some broken links
- Removed forms — too much spam
- Updated various plugins to their latest versions
Things I need to reconsider:
- The overall layout and access to my website’s pages–looking at it now, it seems pretty complicated and random
- Portfolio content
- Blog content
- Personal effort and motivation (this is a hard one)
